Home Up Enter MWC Who's Coming Travel 2010 Denver Area Colorado

Flying into Denver?

Denver International Airport (DEN) is conveniently located on the northeast corner of Denver and an easy limo or car drive from the Highlands Ranch area.  Also convenient is the airport in Colorado Springs which is only 1.5 hours away on Interstate 25.

Official Host Hotel

The official host hotel for 2010 is the Denver Marriott South at Park Meadows, 10345 Park Meadows Drive, Littleton, CO 80124, just a short distance from the field.  The rate is $79 per night for up to four people with either standard king or double/double. The reservation cutoff date is on or before Friday, July 30, 2010.  That gives you plenty of time but, remember, there are only so many rooms and this MWC is sure to be well attended.  To make reservations, call Marriott Reservations at 1-800-686-2767 or online at www.marriott.com.

RV Parks in the Area

Check out the Denver Area RV Parks by clicking HERE.  The following RV parks are ones where Linda and I have stayed.

Denver East KOA is a nice RV park located at exit 310 on I-70.  It is an easy drive probably 30 minutes from Highlands Ranch via I-70 and I-470.  It has shaded pull-throughs.
Yogi Bear's Jellystone Park Camp - Resort at Castle Rock
is located 30-40 minutes south of Highlands Ranch on I-25.  Camp sites are secluded pull-throughs among gamble oaks.
Dekota Ridge RV park is on the northwest side of Denver on West Colfax with Highlands Ranch accessed via I-470.

We are not familiar with the following park:

Denver Meadows RV Park is located just off I-225 south of I-70.  It does have a pool.  No website, see the Denver Area link above.

Because of the Rocky Mountains, Colorado has a multitude of RV parks located throughout the state.  If you are coming in an RV, you should plan to visit other areas of the state while you are here.  Top areas are Rocky Mountain National Park (RV parks at both the east and west entrances), Manitou Springs just west of Colorado Springs, Steamboat Springs, Summit County, and many others.

Advantage Travel

     Advantage Travel is Gerry Bowersox.
Gerry is a long time masters Scottish athlete who has entered the travel
business with an organization that makes him competitive with many other travel websites.
Check him out when your making plans for Colorado or any other travel.
Gerry will donate a portion of his commissions to the Scottish
Masters Athletics International and the Masters World Championships.

     Flights - Rental Cars - Hotels - more ...

Gerry is trying to figure out a way that SMAI can receive a percentage of his commission every time a Scottish Masters athlete or friend, etc., uses his site for travel.  Until then, let me know by email if you use his site to book any travel and we'll work out the deal that way.  Gerry's a great guy and helping him will help SMAI and the MWC funding.
